Dr. Mona Forbes Reide, Chair

Dr. Mona Reide currently serves as the Chair of International Missions for the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World, Inc., and President of International Humanitarian Services located in East Lansing, Michigan. Dr. Reide is married to Attorney Jerome Reide. She is the mother of five children and has two grand children. She holds an earned doctorate degree from Wayne State University and a master’s degree from the University of Michigan. She received her religious training from Aenon Bible School in Indianapolis Indiana.

Dr. Reide was ordained in 1992 by the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World, Inc., and is the founder and pastor of Grace International Outreach Church, located in East Lansing Michigan. She was called into ministry as a child and has been blessed to minister in the United States, Ghana West Africa, Liberia, Haiti, Dominican Republic, Jamaica, Cuba and India.  She comes from a long line of pastors, preachers and evangelists.

In 1992 Pastor Reide planted her first church in Ghana West Africa. Since then she has planted several churches and ministries. Dr. Reide has served on the Northern District Council State Evangelism Team, the National Evangelism Team for the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World; and has led the Prison Ministry, Comforters Ministry, intercessors Ministry, Deliverance Ministry, International Missions Ministry and Outreach Ministry at her home church Greater Grace Temple under Bishop David Ellis and Bishop Charles H. Ellis III.  In 2005 she became the first female Vice Chair and then Chair of the International Missions Board of Directors, which supports and oversees international missions’ churches, schools and orphanages; as well as emergency relief and sustainable development efforts for the P.A.W. in over thirty (30) countries in Africa, Europe, Asia, South America and the Caribbean.

In 2005 Dr. Reide implemented the School of Missions to train those called to the missions’ field. Annually she provides International Missions Boot Camps to train religious and humanitarian volunteers to work in other countries. To date Dr. Reide has trained over 2000 volunteers through boot camps that are offered two to three times per year. She provides religious crusades, free health screening, children’s nutrition programs, women’s empowerment training and loans and school scholarships in developing countries. Pastor Reide has worked with Heads of State, the Ministry of Women and Children’s Affairs, Ministry of Heath, Ministry of Education; religious and NGO groups in Ghana, the Dominican Republic, Haiti, India, Liberia, Cameroon, Jamaica and Cuba to empower women and their families.

Pastor Reide’s professional background includes 34 years as a university professor and administrator providing academic oversight for programs with an annual budget of $50 million dollars that had a significant impact on the health and well-being of families around the world with a staff of 300 employees across the State of Michigan, and 20 professional academic staff.
